Capoeira is een inclusieve sport: G-sporters zijn altijd welkom. Eerlijkheidshalve, blijft het toch steeds een beetje een wederzijdse zoektocht naar de beste manier om iedereen een mooie plaats in de capoeira-familie te geven. Daarom dat we ook lessen aan specifieke doelgroepen geven. Tijdens de voorbije jaren, heeft Professor Luquinha lessen gegeven aan de bewoners van Leef Linkeroever die ook elk jaar meededen met ons jaarlijks event (batizado en troca de cordas).
Sinds 2022 geeft Professor Luquinha 2x per maand op vrijdag capoeira lessen in de Ark Antwerpen.
CAPOEIRA INCLUSIVA Professor Vermelho:
“One has to realize that all of us are at some point:
- brain paralyzed: sometimes we find ourselves with no condition to make a movement which will lead to the other;
- people with Down Syndrome: when we leap into our emotions without limits;
- autists: we create a dome around ourselves avoiding people to approximate – we block communication;
- physically handicapped: when in some ways, we are not able to walk grab, and feel a touch due to our emotional mutilations;
- hearing impaired: everyone is speaking, but I hear nobody, only my ego can access my ears;
- mute: I want to speak, need to speak, have the right to speak, however, I rather be mute, and keep inside what will weaken my bones;
What I am depends on how I see myself, how I see myself, the world will be!”
